Let’s talk about CBD for you and your pets. Why? Because it works and because most of us and our pets could use a little soothing in some area. It certainly has worked for me. I was very skeptical in the beginning but have become a believer. (Editor’s note: If you tried to order in the past, you may have experienced a problem. I’m assured that the problem is fixed. You can’t go wrong with their products so give them another try)

My story

Last year there was a lot of talk about CBD in our state (Arizona). Marijuana for medical use had been approved by the legislature and the Governor legalized the industrial use of hemp, as long as it contains less than 0.3% THC. This approval includes CBD oil (cannabidiol). CBD was being touted as something of a one-size-fits-all miracle oil that helped with a lot of things like insomnia, aches and pains, anxiety and  more. Too good to be true? I thought so. It sounded like “snake oil” to me. But being a senior with aches and pains, I decided to try it.

You need to know right up front that I have never taken non-prescription drugs except things like aspirin, cough medicine, ointments—the things on the shelves in the drugstore.  It isn’t that I hadn’t been offered different things. I simply chose not to participate.

After I decided to try CBD, it took a while to find some that worked. I ordered some from an email solicitation and there didn’t seem to be anything in it. It had the consistency and taste of water. I was disappointed and went to the local health food store. They had CBD and I bought it. It tasted good but after using up the bottle, I could only see a slight difference in the way I felt. After a couple more tries, I found some that did what they said it would do. It was a gradual change, but it was definitely a positive change. My mood lifted, even though I’m not a “down” person. Some of my aches and pains simply eased or vanished altogether. I generally felt better. There is no doubt in my mind that CBD helps in such an obvious way that I want to pass the information on to you. The problem was, every bottle seemed to be different. I wanted something more dependable. I finally found what I was looking for at a company named Cannafyl.

Let’s talk a bit about CBD.

So What Does CBD Do?

This is a highly researched product and more and more uses are being found. The FDA recently approved a drug for children with seizures that contains CBD which means they deem it safe.  So, what does it work with? According to HealthLine it:

  • Gives Pain relief
  • Reduces anxiety
  • Alleviates cancer-related symptoms
  • Works to reduce acne
  • May have neuroprotective qualities to help those with neurological diseases such as epilepsy snd multiple sclerosis.
  •  May benefit heart health

More research is being done because they are finding evidence that it may:

  • Have antipsychotic effects
  • Aid in substance abuse treatment by reducing morphine dependence and heroin-seeking behavior
  • Have anti-tumor effects
  • Work toward Diabetes prevention

What does CBD do for your pets?

The answer, in a nutshell, is that it does for your pet what it does for you. I have two examples.

psychological benefit of owning a dog

I have a 16-year-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix named Dizzy.  She loves to go to the dog park every day but she has a hard time getting into the back of the Subaru. She tries and tries and, with great effort, finally makes the jump. At her age, we figure that she has aches and pains just like we do. After taking  Cannafyl CBD for pets, she is jumping into the back of the SUV much easier and seems to be generally more comfortable

SmartyMy other dog, Smarty, is a feisty very-mixed-breed rescued dog. He has a tendency to bark at anyone who comes close or at a noise from the neighborhood. Sometimes he barks for what seems like no reason at all. That makes it tough when I live in a condo and have neighbors above me and on both sides.  He loves the dog park and plays hard, sometimes a little too aggressively. CBD has helped him calm down without losing his

Why am I putting this on the blog?

Those of you who have been long-time readers of this blog, have probably noticed that I don’t have a lot of advertising on my pages and, even though many articles favor products and services, they are not blatant advertisements. I want this blog to stay true to its purpose. But I’m going to break my own rule here because this is something you should know about if you have some health and well-being challenges. We will be talking more about it,

In my quest for CBD my biggest problem was that I couldn’t find a brand that I could trust to have a consistently high quality. There were a lot of people/companies selling it so how could I know that the next batch would be the same as the one I just had? What kind of quality control did these companies have? There are a lot of them out there. Where did I start?

A Company you can  trust

But there’s a “new kid on the block” that meets all my qualifications. Its name is Cannafyl . It’s in Scottsdale, AZ which is the “town-next-door” to mine. I have talked to the owner and I know his commitment to truthfulness and quality. You will see on their website that they post the results of their product testing (by a third party) on their website. The science is there as well.

I just ordered some for my 13-year-old dog who is having a hard time getting around. Yes, CBD is great for pets. We’ll talk more about that.

I am so sold on it that I signed up as an affiliate, so if you order from them put IMPROVE in the Promotional Code box and receive a 10% discount.   To get more information or to order CLICK HERE.
